Who you're hiring

A builder who
answers the phone.

Legacy NG Builders was started on a simple idea: the person who sold you the job should be the person standing in your driveway when it matters. We keep our project list short on purpose, so every client gets a superintendent who knows their house by name, not by number.

We build across Southwest Florida — coastal lots, canal homes, inland communities — and we build for the conditions here: salt air, sun load, flood elevations, and hurricane season. That shapes every material we spec.

"We'd rather turn down a job than rush one. The name on the truck is the same name on the warranty."

What homeowners say

★★★★★

They gave us a schedule at the start and hit it within four days on a five-month build. The weekly updates meant we never had to guess what was happening.

D. & M. Hollis · Cape Coral
★★★★★

Our kitchen opened up exactly the way they drew it. When a beam detail changed, they walked us through the cost before touching anything.

R. Alvarez · Fort Myers
★★★★★

After the storm we had three contractors ghost us. Legacy showed up, wrote the scope, met our adjuster, and finished the rebuild.

K. Whitfield · Pine Island
★★★★★

Punch list was done before they asked for final payment. That alone put them ahead of everyone we'd used before.

Common questions

Answers before you call

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Legacy NG Builders, LLC is a state-certified Florida general contractor carrying general liability and workers' compensation coverage. We'll send our license number and current certificates of insurance before any contract is signed — and you should ask every contractor you talk to for the same.

How much does a remodel cost in Southwest Florida?

It depends on scope, finish level and how much of the existing structure stays. As a rough starting point: bathrooms typically begin in the mid five figures, kitchens run higher, and whole-home renovations are priced per square foot after a walk-through. We give you a line-item proposal rather than a range, so you can see exactly where the money goes.

How long will my project take?

Bathrooms usually run four to six weeks, kitchens six to ten, additions three to five months, and new construction eight to twelve months from permit. Permitting timelines vary by county and are the most common source of delay, which is why we start that process early.

Do you handle permits and inspections?

Yes. We pull permits, coordinate any required engineering, schedule inspections, and manage HOA or condo association review. You don't need to visit a county office.

Can I live in the house during the work?

Often, yes — for kitchens, baths and additions we set up containment and a temporary path so you can stay. For whole-home renovations with systems replacement, most clients move out for part of the schedule. We'll tell you honestly which one your project is.

What happens if you find something unexpected?

Older Florida homes hide surprises: rot, failed wiring, undersized headers. When we find one, work stops on that item, we document it, price it, and get your written approval before continuing. Nothing gets added to your invoice without your signature.

Do you work with insurance claims?

Yes. We write repair scopes in the format adjusters expect, attend inspections, and supplement when the initial scope misses damage. We're contractors, not public adjusters, so we work alongside your carrier or your adjuster rather than replacing them.

What warranty do you provide?

A ten-year workmanship warranty in writing, plus all manufacturer warranties on materials and equipment transferred to you at closeout. Structural coverage follows Florida statutory requirements.

Do you build to hurricane standards?

Every project meets or exceeds current Florida Building Code wind requirements for its location, and we spec impact-rated windows and doors, engineered connectors, and secondary water barriers as standard rather than as upgrades. Many of these choices also reduce homeowners insurance premiums through wind mitigation credits.

How do I get started?

Send the form below or call the office. We'll ask a few questions, schedule a walk-through at the property, and follow up with next steps — no charge and no obligation for the initial consultation.
